Two Arrested Following Deadly Shooting at Rock Hill Block Party

Two males, aged 19 and 18, have been apprehended by law enforcement after a tragic shooting event resulted in two deaths and two injuries during a local block party in Rock Hill. The horrific incident happened around 10 p.m. on June 1 along Southland Drive, a peaceable residential neighborhood just off Mt. Holly Road.

The local police department of Rock Hill identified the victims who lost their lives as 44-year-old Montest Mincey and 21-year-old Maricus Kirk. They were declared dead at the scene. The injured parties, consisting of a 25-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, reportedly survived the shooting.

Several days elapsed after the shooting until police named 19-year-old D’markieoun Ji’shae Clyburn and 18-year-old Quantrel Jaheim Barrino as suspects in connection to the shooting. On June 7, with the help of the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement arrested Clyburn following the issue of his arrest warrant. Authorities captured Barrino early the following day on June 8. Clyburn now faces a murder charge while Barrino is charged with accessory before the fact of murder.
