The city has begun exploring options to replace the aging turf, allowing athletes to focus on their games without worry.

The local football scene is buzzing, especially after Bishop Guertin High School’s sophomore quarterback, Nate Bowen, showcased his talent in remarkable ways over the past week. After winning the game against Nashua North with an incredible passing play in the final seconds, he turned heads again during a match against the Keene High School Blackbirds at Merrimack College’s Duane Stadium. On Saturday night, Bowen impressively secured the victory with his kicking skills, demonstrating his versatility and growing reputation as a standout player.

Meanwhile, the Campbell High School football team is also making headlines. In their matchup against Epping/Newmarket, running back Scott Hershberger took the game by storm, rushing for 182 yards and scoring three touchdowns. His performance not only led the team to a solid 34-14 victory but also made him the school’s leading career rusher. Campbell’s head coach, Glen Costello, praised him for his talent as the team continues their unbeaten run, now standing at 6-0.
