Bond Denied for Men Involved in Tragic Rock Hill Block Party Shooting

In a shocking turn of events, a block party in Rock Hill, South Carolina took a ominous turn when a shooting incident led to the death of two individuals and left two others injured. The incident, which happened at around 10 p.m. on June 1 along Southland Drive, a residential area off Mt. Holly Road, saw 44-year-old Montest Mincey and 21-year-old Maricus Kirk lose their lives at the scene. Additionally, a 25-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were injured but managed to survive.

Arrests and Charges

In a swift response to the tragedy, the local law enforcement apprehended 19-year-old D’markieoun Ji’shae Clyburn and 18-year-old Quantrel Jaheim Barrino, the suspects in the gruesome shooting. Clyburn was arrested on June 7 after a warrant for his arrest was issued by the police, with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office assisting in his arrest. Barrino was arrested in the early hours of June 8.

Significantly, Clyburn has been charged with murder, while Barrino has been faced with the charge of being an accessory before the fact of murder. Both individuals are currently facing charges relating to Mincey’s death and are being held at the Rock Hill Jail with bond being denied for both suspects.

The detectives are set to continue their investigations in order to bring justice to the victims of this tragic incident.
