PHOENIX – As the 2024 NFL season approaches, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is ready to show everyone that his team can compete with the best. Murray issued a bold statement, believing that the Cardinals can be serious contenders after having faced tough times in recent years.
The Cardinals have gone through major changes lately, hoping to create a stronger team around their star quarterback. Despite some experts expecting Arizona to struggle again this season and finish at the bottom of the NFC West, Murray remains optimistic about his team’s chances.
Last season was rough, with the Cardinals winning only four games and losing 13, which placed them at the bottom of their division. However, the quarterback is confident that this year, they can turn things around. “Yeah, I mean, let them sleep,” Murray said, noting that it’s their job to prove the critics wrong.
Murray believes recent additions to the team, especially their 2024 first-round draft pick, Marvin Harrison Jr., will make a big difference. He praised their entire offense, mentioning players like Mike Wilson, Greg Dortch, and James Conner, highlighting their potential to improve significantly this season.
With a dedicated offensive coordinator in Drew Petzing, Murray feels the team is building the right momentum. “I think the sky is the limit for this offense, for sure,” he added, showing his enthusiasm for what’s ahead.
The ultimate goal for Murray this year is clear: to compete for the Super Bowl in 2025. He’s well aware that changes and improvements may take time, but he believes in his squad’s capabilities. Having signed a five-year, $230.5 million contract extension in July 2022, he feels secure in his role, looking forward to leading the Cardinals into a promising new season.
