The spotlight was on the Elks as they claimed an impressive 49-14 victory over Warren. A standout senior ran the ball 20 times, racking up 175 yards, and not only made his presence felt on offense but also contributed on defense with 2 tackles for a loss, including a scoop and score for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, the Mavericks put together a dominant performance against Little Rock Central, winning 45-14. A junior quarterback led the charge, completing 13 of 21 passes for 242 yards and throwing for 5 touchdowns. His top target, a senior receiver, caught 4 passes for 151 yards and also found the end zone 4 times.
The Bulldogs had their share of highlights as well, securing a 56-19 win over Springdale Har-Ber. A junior quarterback shined brightly, going an impressive 23 of 28 for 353 yards and throwing 6 touchdowns. His favorite target also stepped up, catching 10 passes for 154 yards and 4 scores.
In action on the ground, a sophomore from the Panthers was pivotal in their 21-14 win over Pea Ridge, scoring on runs of both 20 and 4 yards. The Panthers continued their success, defeating Bauxite 38-22, with a senior rushing for 111 yards on 15 carries and getting into the end zone 3 times.
Not to be outdone, the Hornets secured a 30-10 win against Little Rock Parkview with a senior running back leading the way with 97 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown.
