Rock Hill, South Carolina with its booming infrastructure and flourishing businesses is set to welcome a new store. As announced by the Warren Norman Company, Ashley Furniture Store is coming to the Galleria Mall in Rock Hill, expected to open its doors in late summer of 2024.
The new store will occupy more than 35,000 square feet of space previously utilized by Sears, marking the opening of the 32nd store for the furniture giant. This addition is expected to significantly enhance the tenant mix of the Galleria Mall. Already home to brands like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Stars and Strikes, Belk, and The Office Gym, the mall will now offer a greater variety for shoppers looking to spruce up their homes.
Broad River Retail (BRR), one of the largest independently owned Ashley Store licensees, will own and operate the new store. Charlie Malouf, President and CEO of Broad River Retail, expressed his enthusiasm about making an entry in the Rock Hill market. He noted the attractive potential of Rock Hill and York County, and is eager to introduce Ashley to this community. This store will be the first Ashley Furniture store in the South Carolina submarket of the Greater Charlotte metro region.
The new Ashley Furniture Store in Rock Hill will showcase the 7.0 store concept, featuring an open floor plan, an enhanced sleep gallery, and stylish interior design elements. With its quality offerings, the store is set to provide residents with multiple options to elevate their home’s decor. Shoppers looking for a variety of furniture and home accessories will be delighted by the selection Ashley has to offer.
This new addition will not just cater to the home fashion needs of the locals but is also expected to boost the economy of Rock Hill, breathing new life into the Galleria Mall on Dave Lyle Blvd, marking a significant milestone in the growth of the Dave Lyle Corridor.
Warren Norman, Broker-in-Charge at The Warren Norman Company, expressed excitement about the addition of Ashley to the Galleria Mall. “Furniture is a great addition to the tenant mix, and we think will add great synergy to the mall. We can’t wait for Ashley and Broad River Retail to be a part of the Rock Hill community,” he added. The countdown has begun as the locals look forward to late summer of 2024, the proposed time for the store’s opening.
