Armed Robbery at PNC Bank
A suspected bank robber was taken into police custody following an armed robbery incident at the PNC Bank in Rock Hill. According to police reports, the incident took place around 6 p.m. on Monday, when officers were dispatched to respond to an armed robbery on the 1800 block of India Hook Road. The suspect reportedly brandished a firearm before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police Encounter with the Suspect
Officials state that officers near the Millwood Shopping Center spotted a man on a bicycle who fitted the description of the suspect. In an attempt to stop the man, officers noted that he was indeed armed with a handgun. The Rock Hill Police department confirms that officers discharged their firearms, leading to the suspect being shot in the hand.

The gunshot caused the suspect to drop his firearm and fall off his bicycle. Responding officers were then able to effectively apprehend him.
