In a highly anticipated announcement, Carowinds, an amusement park spanning across the North and South Carolina state line, unveiled its delights and scares planned for the Fall lineup. In a ground-breaking move, the park is slated to introduce two novel family-oriented events, namely ‘Tricks and Treats’ and ‘Oktoberfest.’ But fans needn’t worry, as the well-loved ‘SCarowinds’ Halloween event continues its reign in the festive roster after its immensely successful debut in 2000.
For the very first time since its inception, Carowinds’ themed events will not require separate tickets. This measure makes it effortless for visitors to participate in all three events by purchasing a single admission ticket. The champagne news comes after the recent merger between Cedar Fair and Six Flags, resulting in the creation of a colossal amusement park operator. The new conglomerate now operates in 17 U.S. states and three countries, with assets worth over $3.5 billion.
‘Tricks and Treats’, the new addition to the celebrations, is set to run on Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 14 until Oct. 27. Open between noon to 6 p.m., the family-friendly event boasts live entertainment, mask craft stations, trick-or-treating, a pumpkin patch, and much more. Bundled with a host of palatable fall-themed foods and beverages, a parade will also be featured to add to the festive spirit.
Another highlight of the season, ‘Oktoberfest,’ brings an authentic German experience to the park. Planned to run on Saturdays and Sundays, from Sept. 14 to Nov. 2, the event welcomes all between 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visitors can partake in a delightful selection of German foods and beers along with live music and family-friendly entertainment. Attractions like yard games and a brat-eating contest, among other activities, further enrich the celebratory atmosphere.
In addition to the family-friendly events, the thrill of the famous ‘SCarowinds’ makes a grand return. Assuring hair-raising delights, the event is scheduled for select nights from Sept. 13 through Oct. 27. The park is planned to accommodate four different scare zones, four spooky live shows, and five exhilarating mazes. As darkness descends, the park’s renowned thrill rides undergo a spooky transformation, promising a unique foreboding charm amplifying the Halloween ambiance.
Setting the thrill and delight experience within reach, the tickets start at a reasonable price of just $49.99, making this festive season an irresistible one at Carowinds.
