Charlotte, NC – It’s that time of year again! The anticipation for Opening Weekend at Carowinds, one of the most notable amusement parks, has just shot up as the park announced its plans this Tuesday. Boldly marked on the calendar, Friday, March 8 will be a day exclusively for season passholders before the park opens its gates to the wider public on the following day.
This season will not just be any other at Carowinds. It will mark the second season after the grand opening of the new Aeronautica Landing section in 2023. The announcement has sent waves of excitement among thrill-seekers who are eagerly gearing up to have wonderful times at the park once again.
Other noteworthy dates for Carowinds in 2024 include May 25, when the Carolina Harbor Waterpark is set to open. The popular SCarowinds will be making a return on select nights from September 13 to October 27. Moreover, WinterFest is planned to run from November 15 to December 31. Carowinds will also host firework shows on Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and Labor Day in tribute to the heroes who have served the country.
Going by the park’s online calendar, the amusement venue will only be open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for most weeks in March, April, and May. Exceptionally, the park will be open in the first week of April for spring break shows and events and in the last week of May, indicating the start of seven-day-a-week operations. The operations will again be limited to only Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays after August 17.
Season passes are already up for sale, starting at just $95. Passholders can enjoy unlimited visits to the park and free parking. With the new season promising a line-up of exciting events and additions, a season pass is the best way to have a fun-filled year at Carowinds.
While the park continues to be a hub for entertainment and fun, equal emphasis is placed on the safety of visitors. The park authorities have detailed the comprehensive security measures in place to ensure that visitors can enjoy the thrilling rides and attractions with peace of mind.
