NFL Roster Cuts Approaching: Notable Players Facing Uncertain Futures

As the NFL preseason wraps up, all eyes are on the roster cuts that will take place across the league. Among the players who may find themselves looking for new teams is Taylor Heinicke, once a gutsy starter for the Washington Commanders. Currently, he’s been relegated to the No. 3 spot with the Atlanta Falcons, where the team appears to be set with first-round pick Michael Penix Jr. as the primary backup. Heinicke could fit in well as an experienced No. 2 for teams such as the Buccaneers, Lions, or Vikings.

Another player to watch is Desmond Ridder. The third-round pick from the Falcons was picked up in a trade, but he’s struggling to secure a spot in Arizona. With rising star Clayton Tune backing up Kyler Murray, Ridder may find opportunities with the Buccaneers, Packers, or Rams.
