Charlotte Man Arrested After High-Speed Chase Ends in York County

In a recent development today, a man from Charlotte was apprehended after leading police on an extensive chase that kicked off in Charlotte and concluded in York County on Wednesday, December 27th. The incident began around 4 PM and resulted in the arrest of 33-year-old Jermaine Bey Leach.

High-Speed Chase and Arrest

Law enforcement officials from the York County Sheriff’s Office reported that Leach is facing multiple charges. Among them are allegations of Fugitive from Justice, Possession of Cocaine 2nd Offense, Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Sub. Offense, and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.

When police attempted to apprehend Leach, he allegedly ejected himself from the vehicle on Highway 557. Following a short foot pursuit, Leach was detained by law enforcement agents in York County. He was then escorted to the York County Detention Center where he was booked on the aforementioned charges.
