"Charlotte Welcomes New Krazy Curry Location in January 2025!"

Charlotte Welcomes New Krazy Curry Location to Spicy Up the New Year

Charlotte is set to welcome a new culinary addition to its thriving downtown scene. Krazy Curry, the popular Indian and Nepalese eatery, plans to open its second location in January 2025. This new restaurant will be situated in the One South office tower at the corner of Trade and Tryon streets in uptown Charlotte.

Who Is Behind Krazy Curry?

The owner of Krazy Curry, Sabash Karki, expressed excitement about returning to uptown after previously operating a takeout-only business in the area. Before the Pineville location was established at the Terraces at Park Place shopping center, Karki was keen on finding the right opportunity to come back to the bustling uptown atmosphere.

What to Expect at the New Location

The new 3,132-square-foot space takes over the location formerly occupied by Salsarita’s Fresh Mexican Grill. Expect an extensive menu of scratch-made Indian delicacies, including vegetable samosas, paneer tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, and a variety of curry dishes. Among these, the butter chicken and garlic naan are anticipated to be favorites among customers.

Beyond Indian fare, the menu will also feature Nepalese options such as momo (dumplings) and various noodle dishes. The new restaurant will cater to all types of diners with numerous vegetarian and vegan selections available.

When Will It Open and What Are the Hours?

The opening is planned for January 2025, and the restaurant aims to serve the bustling workforce in the area. It will offer a lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., providing employees with a quick, affordable meal option during their lunch breaks. After 2 p.m., the restaurant will transition to an à la carte menu, allowing patrons to enjoy a wider variety of meal options.

Where Is It Located?

The new location is conveniently located in the heart of uptown Charlotte at the Bank of America Plaza, specifically at 101 S Tryon St. This prime location is surrounded by numerous eateries, enhancing the area’s reputation as a food destination. Other dining options in the One South building include Eddie V’s, Tupelo Honey, Devon & Blakely, Starbucks, and Chick-Fil-A.

Why Open Another Location?

The decision to expand into uptown Charlotte is rooted in a desire to bring authentic Indian and Nepalese cuisine back to a community that has shown support in the past. Karki stated, “When we closed our location to focus on the Pineville restaurant, we knew we wanted to return to uptown when the right opportunity came along.” This sentiment reflects a commitment to the Charlotte dining community and a belief in the demand for diverse culinary offerings.

Additional Offerings

In addition to its mouthwatering food, Krazy Curry will also offer a selection of beer and wine, along with refreshing beverages like mango lassi and chai tea. For those craving a meal at home or on the go, takeout and delivery services will be available through the restaurant’s own app and website.

Conclusion

With its vibrant menu, convenient location, and dedication to quality, Krazy Curry is poised to make a significant impact in downtown Charlotte. Locals can look forward to indulging in delicious dishes when the doors open in January 2025.
