Amidst the challenges brought about by the pandemic, Kathleen Finch found solace and inspiration at a pop-up street art gallery in the NoDA arts district. Recognizing the power of art to heal and uplift, she set out to create the Charlotte Street Art Collaborative as a space for artists and art enthusiasts to connect and find comfort through creativity.

As part of its mission, the Charlotte Street Art Collaborative aims to support local artists by offering free to low-cost events and workshops. Artists participating in events are paid for their work, and vending opportunities are provided at no cost, creating a platform for artists to showcase their talents and connect with the community.

Through the support of donors, the collaborative has been able to complete several public murals throughout the region. These murals not only beautify and enliven public spaces but also serve as a testament to the power of art to inspire and uplift communities.
