In a recent announcement from the Big South Conference, Winthrop University’s Jaylen Hernandez has been named Freshman of the Week for his outstanding performance in games played from April 29 to May 5. The Charlotte native shone on the field, with a batting average of .357, including a home run, three doubles, five RBIs, and one run scored.
