In a recent announcement from the Big South Conference, Winthrop University’s Jaylen Hernandez has been named Freshman of the Week for his outstanding performance in games played from April 29 to May 5. The Charlotte native shone on the field, with a batting average of .357, including a home run, three doubles, five RBIs, and one run scored.
Throughout the week, Hernandez maintained a stellar performance, securing at least one hit in all three games, showcasing his talent and contribution to the team. His standout moment came in the series opener against Radford, where he delivered his second three-hit performance, solidifying his impact on the field.
