Tragic Collision Claims Three Lives in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA — A devastating head-on collision late Friday night resulted in the death of three individuals, as confirmed by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The accident took place around 10:25 p.m. on North Rocky River Road, not far from the border between South Carolina and North Carolina.

According to Master Trooper Brandon Bolt, the crash involved two pickup trucks. A 2023 Toyota pickup was traveling southbound, while a 2004 Chevrolet pickup was heading north on the same road when they collided. Both drivers from the involved vehicles, along with one passenger in the Toyota, tragically lost their lives at the scene.

As of now, the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office has not released the names of the victims. The investigation to determine the specific causes of the crash is ongoing, and authorities have not disclosed whether any of the individuals were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
