ROCK HILL, S.C. – The South Carolina Department of Environmental Control (DHEC) is currently conducting inquiries into several complaints lodged against the Divine Manor Assisted Living Center based in Rock Hill on Oak Pond Road. The facility is licensed to accommodate 32 beds as per DHEC.
These complaints came to light when concerned citizens called CN2 News, alleging that the facility was without heat earlier this week. Additionally, they expressed concerns about the health and wellbeing of the residents inside Divine Manor. One particular complaint alleges the existence of an unheated environment and an infestation of roaches within the facility.
According to a timeline provided by the DHEC officials, the facility had repaired its HVAC after the complaints, and the residents voiced no concerns about the temperature. Here is the timeline as detailed by the DHEC:
The facility is now required to submit an acceptable plan of correction to DHEC within five days from the receipt of the report of visit (ROV). In situations where department regulations are violated, DHEC can deny, suspend, or revoke licenses or levy a monetary penalty against a CRCF, or both. However, DHEC refrains from commenting on pending enforcement actions or potential enforcement actions.
Despite multiple attempts to contact the Divine Manor for a response, CN2 News was unable to get through for a comment.
As the situation unfolds, CN2 News will continue to monitor any further developments related to the complaints against the Divine Manor Assisted Living Center and provide updates as necessary. The welfare of the residents within the facility and the establishment’s adherence to standard operating procedures remain the prime concerns in this situation.
