Undefeated Team Flags

Washington D.C. – As the third week of the 2024 District of Columbia high school football season wraps up, the competition remains fierce, and the **Massey Ratings** show that the top teams have kept their stronghold on the rankings. The latest update from September 18 indicates minimal changes, with six teams still holding onto their *undefeated* records.

Currently, the **Eagles** sit at No. 1 after another powerful showing, this time defeating Loyola Blakefield with a score of just seven points allowed. The team’s offense was led by **Jason Lindsay**, who threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns. **David Fred** also contributed significantly with 149 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Next up, the Eagles will face off against fifth-ranked **Archbishop Carroll** on September 20.

Right behind them, the No. 2 **Cadets** have also been impressive, allowing only seven total points in their last two games while scoring a whopping 94. Their recent victory included a stunning 52-0 win against Archbishop Carroll, where **Breyon Williams** played a key role with 78 rushing yards and three touchdowns. The Cadets are set to take on Friendship Collegiate in their next matchup.

The No. 3 **Knights** continue their trend of defensive excellence, having only allowed six points across three games. With back-to-back shutouts against Charles Herbert Flowers and Coolidge, they are proving to be a tough opponent. This week, they’ll square off against fourth-ranked **Dunbar**, presenting a challenging test.

Dunbar comes in at No. 4, boasting the third-best offense in D.C. football, fueled by high-scoring games totaling 43, 60, and 52 points in their first three contests. A match against Friendship Collegiate looms on September 20, where Dunbar looks to keep the momentum going.

Rounding out the top five, **Archbishop Carroll** recently experienced a setback against St. John’s, losing 52-7. Despite **TK Davis** scoring their only touchdown, the team will need to regroup quickly before facing Gonzaga.

The **Roughriders**, at No. 6, feature a solid defense, conceding only 16 points thus far. They beat Bell Multicultural 46-6 with strong performances from **David Anderson** and **Deyon Smith**. The upcoming matches against Washington and Anacostia present good opportunities for them to extend their record.

No. 7 is occupied by the **Bulldogs**, who delivered a solid win over Jackson-Reed with a score of 42-21. The Bulldogs look to keep their victory streak against Pope John Paul the Great Catholic on September 21.

Finally, in the tenth spot is **Coolidge**, who are still searching for their first win of the season. After falling to Archbishop Carroll, they face challenging games ahead but have the potential to turn things around starting with Chester on September 21.

As the season heats up, fans are eager to see how these matchups will affect the rankings and showcase the immense talent within the District’s high school football teams.
