Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop women’s basketball team is geared up for their final game of the regular season as they head to Gardner-Webb on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles are coming off a nail-biting overtime loss to High Point on Senior Night, with a final score of 65-64, during their last home game.
Series History Versus Gardner-Webb
This will mark the 39th meeting between Winthrop and Gardner-Webb, with the Runnin’ Bulldogs leading the series 27-11. The first encounter dates back to Jan. 24, 1980, where Winthrop secured a victory. However, Gardner-Webb has dominated the series since 2014, winning 19 of the last 23 matchups.
