In Burlington, the 2024 Vermont high school fall football season kicked off with some exciting matches this week. Teams across the state are gearing up for a competitive season, and fans are eager to see how their favorite squads perform.

This past week, several standout performances stole the spotlight. The matchup between Mount Mansfield and Champlain Valley ended in a 1-1 draw, with Delilah Locher scoring for MMU and Reese Kingsbury finding the net for CVU. Goalkeepers Toni Cardinal and Hannah Zabalinski shielded the goal with a combined total of 11 saves for MMU, while Anya Johnson had 1 save for CVU.

In a dominating performance, Burlington showcased flair as they defeated BFA-St. Albans with a resounding 6-0 score. Ella Knudsen led the charge with 2 goals and 3 assists.
