Exciting Week in High School Football
This past week in high school football has shown some impressive performances from players across the region. One standout was Archie Jones from CBA, who had an incredible game as the junior quarterback threw for 191 yards and a stunning six touchdowns in just the first half. His skills helped lead the Brothers to an overwhelming 75-0 victory over Schenectady.
Another noteworthy performance came from Cam Grasso of Niskayuna. He contributed significantly to his team’s 21-7 win against Guilderland by rushing for two touchdowns and completing a touchdown pass. Meanwhile, John Gload from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake rushed for 169 yards and brought two touchdowns home in a nail-biting 22-21 victory over Queensbury.
On the other side of the field, Zavry Ward from Queensbury had a remarkable game as well, throwing for 251 yards and two touchdowns, along with a touchdown reception and 78 yards rushing, although it resulted in a tough loss to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.
Moving on to Bethlehem, Jay Felio showcased his talent by rushing for 178 yards and scoring an impressive four touchdowns, helping the Eagles defeat Amsterdam 34-13.
In a dazzling display, Landon Cumm from Schuylerville dominated with 200 yards and scored four touchdowns during a 48-14 win over Voorheesville. In addition, Jack Welch from Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton made headlines as he amassed 335 yards and recorded four touchdowns, leading his team to a 51-0 victory over Stillwater.
