ROCK HILL, SC – In a significant leadership shift, the Rock Hill-based Family Trust Federal Credit Union has named Ryan Harvey as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1. The change in top brass sees Harvey succeed Penny Pratt, who is retiring after 7 years in the chief executive role.
The credit union’s board of directors declared that this decision arises after conducting a comprehensive assessment of candidates. Chris Ruh, Board Chair at Family Trust Federal Credit Union, said, “Ryan distinguished himself as the most fitting choice to extend our strategic vision. Our team conducted scrupulous searches both internally and externally, resulting in a unanimous decision that Ryan’s leadership and guidance will spur Family Trust’s progress.”
Harvey brings nearly 20 years of industry experience, all spent at Family Trust, covering various spheres including digital banking, sales, marketing, business growth, retail, and electronic delivery. Before his appointment as CEO, Ryan held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer at Family Trust Federal Credit Union.
The credit union, which continues to grow in York County and further afield, will benefit from Harvey’s strategic vision and industry expertise. Harvey becomes the fourth CEO in the 66-year history of Family Trust, which currently boasts over 53,000 members, $680 million in assets, and seven York County locations. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University and an MBA from Syracuse University.
His preceder, Pratt, has pledged her utmost support during the transition period ensuring continuity in leadership and smooth functioning of the credit union.
