LANCASTER, S.C. – Tragedy struck on the morning of December 5 when a single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a driver near Van Wyck. The incident occurred around 9:40 a.m. on Old Hickory Road, approximately a mile south of the town.

What Happened

Jaime Serafin, a resident of Pineville, North Carolina. As Serafin was driving north on Old Hickory Road, the vehicle veered off the left side of the road. Authorities stated that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then crashed into an embankment before rolling over.
