Fort Mill, SC – A crossing guard was injured early Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle outside Catawba Ridge High School. The incident occurred around 8 a.m. on Fort Mill Parkway, as students were arriving for school, according to local police.

Captain Steven Bivins of the Fort Mill Police Department reported that a collision between two vehicles led to one vehicle hitting the crossing guard. Both the guard and one of the drivers were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, although the exact nature and extent of their injuries remain unclear.

As of 1 p.m. on Tuesday, law enforcement officials had not filed any charges related to the incident. Police Chief Bryan Zachary stated that the crash is still under investigation. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved in the incident.

Earlier in March, crossing guard Stanley Brucker was struck and killed by a vehicle outside Fort Mill Elementary School and Fort Mill Middle School. Similar to Tuesday’s case, no charges were filed in that incident.
