High School Football Highlights: A Weekend Recap

In Oconto Falls, the Foxes managed a hard-fought victory over the Fox Valley Lutheran boys’ basketball team, sealing the game with a final score of 54 to 58. Graham Feidt led the charge for the Foxes, scoring 21 points, while Lucas Papendorf contributed with 10 points. The Foxes built a sturdy halftime lead of eight points and maintained their edge in the second half despite a strong push from the Panthers, whose standout player, Evan Yuma, netted 19 points in the losing effort.

Meanwhile, in New London, the Mustangs took home a thrilling win over the Bulldogs, edging them out with a score of 49 to 46. Both Cooper Effa and Trevor Verhagen put in solid performances, contributing 13 points each. The Bulldogs were led by Joseph Daly, who had 15 points but fell just short as the Mustangs closed strong with a decisive run.

In Denmark, the Irish dominated the Vikings, with both Drew Kortz and Kaden Vandenberg scoring 23 points each. Freedom’s Donovan Davis also shone with 16 points, helping secure the victory.

Over in Seymour, the Thunder showcased their skills by rolling past the Truckers in a nonconference battle. Jordan Krause led the way with an impressive 22 points, backed by Kyler Marks with 15 points. Clintonville’s Sam Wegener tried to keep pace, scoring 23 points, but it wasn’t enough as Seymour finished strong with a final score of 81 to 55.

In Manitowoc, the Jets pulled away in the second half to clinch a win over the Lions, with Donovan Cowley shining for Roncalli with 22 points, including 18 in the first half. It was a tough battle, as the Lions’ Owen Krepline fought hard, finishing with 20 points.

In Amherst, the Falcons built a solid lead at halftime, ultimately defeating the Wolves with a final score of 46 to 39. Parker Soulsby was the standout for Amherst, finishing with 12 points.
