High School Football Playoff Update: Friday Night Scores

Friday night brought excitement to high school football fans across Southeast Texas as the playoffs continued and many teams battled for a spot in the next round. Here’s a rundown of the scores from the action-packed night.

Port Neches-Groves made their mark with a convincing win against Hallsville, finishing the game 43-20. Meanwhile, Port Arthur Memorial dominated Galena Park with an impressive score of 70-0, showcasing their strength in the playoffs.

Nederland also shined on Friday night, defeating Texarkana with a score of 56-14. In another exciting matchup, Lindale triumphed over Little Cypress-Mauriceville, winning 49-21. Silsbee cruised to victory against Brookshire Royal with a solid score of 45-6.

In a nail-biter, Pine Tree edged out Bridge City with a close 35-28 victory. Meanwhile, Kilgore showcased their powerhouse status by thrashing Vidor with a score of 66-6. Columbia had a strong showing, defeating Jasper 56-35, while Fairfield narrowly beat Orangefield at 49-42.

The night continued with Westwood overcoming Hardin with a score of 42-33, and Newton easily routing West Rusk 60-24. Woodville secured a comfortable 49-20 win over Arp, while Mt. Enterprise won against Deweyville with a score of 40-16.
