High School Football Kicks Off in Sacramento Area
It’s that time of the year again in California, as the high school football season officially kicked off Friday night. The games started in unusually cool weather, a welcome change from past seasons marked by wildfire smoke and sweltering 102-degree temperatures.
In Placer County, high school football reigns supreme. One of the highlights featured the Bee No. 10-ranked Placer Hillmen taking on the No. 9 Casa Roble Rams from Orangevale. It was a game that drew a sizable audience eager to see which team would dominate.
In addition to this marquee matchup, new schools like West Park in Roseville faced off against Whitney from Rocklin. Another exciting game took place at Twelve Bridges in Lincoln, where they hosted Christian Brothers. Our coverage included these games along with others.
One of the most talked-about games of the evening was between the Bee’s No. 1-ranked Folsom and the legendary Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits, who are known to be the winningest team in state history. Folsom came out on top with a convincing score of 63-20.
