High School Football Playoff Results from Around the State
In a thrilling series of high school football semifinal games held across the state, teams showed grit and determination in a bid for a spot in the finals. With the stakes high, the WIAA state tournament delivered exciting matchups for fans to enjoy.
Class 4A Semifinals
The day kicked off with Camas, the top seed, facing off against Gonzaga Prep. In a tightly contested game, Camas emerged victorious with a 28-20 score, securing their place in the finals. Meanwhile, the second matchup saw Sumner battling Chiawana in an intense overtime match that pushed the limits of endurance. After three overtimes, Sumner triumphed with a 37-31 win.
Class 3A Semifinals
Over in Class 3A, O’Dea managed to hold off Eastside Catholic with a close final score of 17-14. The other semifinal game featured Bellevue, who faced Roosevelt, and they secured a solid win with a 29-13 score.
Class 2A Semifinals
The Class 2A games featured Tumwater dominating Archbishop Murphy with an impressive blowout of 42-0. In the other matchup, Anacortes came out on top against W.F. West, winning by 35-13.
Class 1A Semifinals
In the Class 1A bracket, Seton Catholic had a firm grip on their game against Montesano, finishing with a score of 35-14. The top seed, Royal, rolled past Cashmere with ease, ending the game at 44-7.
Class 2B Semifinals
Class 2B saw Napavine defeat Asotin with a score of 23-8. In another strong performance, Okanogan edged out Freeman with a 36-26 final.
Class 1B Semifinals
Lastly, in Class 1B action, Wilbur-Creston-Keller showcased their strength with a dominating 52-28 victory over Naselle. Meanwhile, Liberty Christian secured a win against Almira Coulee Hartline with a final score of 36-28.
