This week marks an exciting start to the 2024 Vermont high school fall season with several thrilling matches that took place across different schools. As teams hit the field, fans were eager to see what the new season had in store.

In the latest games, the tension was high, especially during the closely contested match between North Country and Milton, which ended in a 0-0 tie after overtime. North Country’s Ava Bouchard showcased her skills with an impressive performance, making 11 saves. Milton’s goalkeeper Isabella Kang also impressed, finishing with 0 saves.

Another notable game took place between Colchester and South Burlington where Colchester emerged victorious with a score of 1-0. Kate Bradford scored the only goal of the match 22 minutes into the second half, supported by a solid assist from Ava Moore.

Caledonia United, on the other hand, managed to edge out Hazen with a 1-0 victory thanks to a goal from Hazel Abetti and a strong defensive effort with Ida Astick making 5 saves.

In a high-scoring game, Paine Mountain defeated Blue Mountain with a score of 5-4, while Hartford triumphed over Stratton with a convincing 2-0 scoreline. In that game, Tighe Hrabchak and Sam Peckinpaugh scored goals for Hartford, assisted by Jackson Jewett.
