This past weekend, excitement filled the air in Alabama as high school football teams hit the field for some action-packed games. Teams across different classifications showcased their talent and determination, resulting in some impressive scores.
In Class 7A, Hoover dominated Fairhope with a final score of 35-10. Another thrilling match saw Vestavia Hills overcome Mary Montgomery, finishing strong at 42-21. These victories keep Hoover and Vestavia Hills in strong contention as the season progresses.
Moving on to Class 6A, Saraland made quick work of Chelsea, ending the game with a score of 42-3. Their performance clearly demonstrated their strength this season.
In Class 4A, St. Michael and Handley faced off in a thrilling contest, with St. Michael claiming victory at 63-40. It was an eventful game full of action and scoring opportunities.
Class 3A saw Bayside Academy secure a win against Hale County, finishing the match at 36-6. Fyffe also had a great game, defeating Ohatchee with a substantial score of 66-30. Meanwhile, Southside-Selma narrowly edged out Hillcrest-Evergreen with a nail-biting score of 36-35.
In Class 2A, Susan Moore emerged victorious over Decatur Heritage at 34-27, and in Class 1A, Linden showcased their skills with a decisive 63-14 win against Southern Choctaw.
AISA Class AAA saw Chambers Academy power through with a 53-13 win over Clarke Prep, while Lowndes Academy dominated their game against Jackson Academy, ending the match at 47-0.
