In Orangefield, the Bobcats cruised to a significant victory against Buna, dominating the game with a score of 52 to 22. Similarly, Woodville had an impressive outing, overwhelming Kountze with a score of 61 to 6. On the other end of the spectrum, Hardin managed to edge out Kirbyville in a close contest that ended with a score of 44 to 34.
West Sabine also had a strong showing, defeating Sabine Pass 54 to 7. In another notable matchup, Barbers Hill pulled off a solid win over West Brook, finishing the game at 31 to 17. Beaumont United held strong against Baytown Sterling, concluding the game with a score of 21 to 9.
Port Neches-Groves claimed victory against Dayton with a score of 30 to 3, while Montgomery faced an exciting overtime battle with Nederland, ultimately coming out on top 34 to 28.
Another highlight from the region was Houston Second Baptist, who triumphed over Kelly Catholic 38 to 7. Hamshire-Fannett celebrated a landmark win with a score of 28 to 14 against West Orange-Stark.
In other games, Little Cypress-Mauriceville defeated Lumberton by 35 to 25, Silsbee showcased their strength with a 49 to 20 win over Shepherd, and Vidor overwhelmed Livingston with an impressive 61 to 14 scoreline. Huffman edged out Bridge City 26 to 18, while Liberty battled hard to clip Hardin-Jefferson 39 to 30.
Jasper had an explosive game against Tarkington, finishing with a score of 68 to 14, and Evadale wrapped up their game against Hull-Daisetta, winning 43 to 8. West Hardin also claimed a decisive victory over Colmesneil with a score of 54 to 14, while Coldspring-Oakhurst narrowly defeated Anahuac 36 to 28.
