CLEVELAND, Ohio – Week 4 of high school football brought exciting matchups and impressive performances across the board. Fans were treated to action-packed games, showcasing the talent of teams ranked in the high school football Top 25.
Leading the charge, No. 1 St. Edward edged out Cincinnati Elder with a final score of 24-17. This victory solidifies St. Edward’s spot at the top of the rankings. Meanwhile, No. 2 Avon dominated Elyria with a commanding victory of 58-0, demonstrating their strong offense and solid defense.
No. 3 Mentor kept their winning streak alive, defeating Medina by a score of 49-14. No. 4 Archbishop Hoban also showcased their skills, winning convincingly against Akron East with a score of 42-6.
In another one-sided match, No. 5 Wadsworth triumphed over Twinsburg with a score of 55-10. No. 6 Villa Angela-St. Joseph faced off against No. 24 Kenston, sealing the game with a score of 53-35.
No. 7 Walsh Jesuit made quick work of No. 10 St. Ignatius, winning the game 42-7, while No. 8 Highland dominated Copley at 44-7.
In other notable games, No. 9 Glenville shut out John Hay 34-0, and No. 11 Kirtland blanked Independence 44-0. No. 12 North Ridgeville took down No. 20 Olmsted Falls 43-17, and No. 13 Nordonia secured a win against Solon with a solid score of 45-7.
Staying in the rankings, No. 15 Perry dominated Cleveland Central Catholic 42-0, and No. 16 Aurora defeated Revere 42-10. No. 17 Hudson also showed strength against Stow-Munroe Falls, winning 45-7.
In a closely contested game, Cleveland Heights narrowly edged out Brunswick 20-17, while No. 19 Lake Catholic delivered another shutout, beating Willoughby South 47-0.
