High School Football Week 4: Standout Performances and Thrilling Victories Across the State

This week, high school football games across the state brought some exciting performances from various players in Week 4. The action was thrilling, with several standout athletes making significant contributions to their team’s success.

In Syracuse, Ryker Van Komen was a force on the field, carrying the ball 17 times for an impressive 200 yards and scoring one touchdown. His efforts helped lead Syracuse to a strong 34-20 victory over Copper Hills.

Fremont saw a remarkable game from Manase Tuatagaloa as he dominated in a spectacular 61-13 win over Hunter, completing 19 of 23 passes for 425 yards and throwing six touchdowns.

Over at Skyridge, Kaneal Sweetwyne guided his team to a convincing 38-10 win against Bingham, throwing for 301 yards and two touchdowns by completing 17 of 28 passes.

Meanwhile, in American Fork, Will Meine played a crucial role, catching nine passes for 159 yards and scoring two touchdowns as American Fork edged out River with a 27-20 victory.

In another nail-biting match, Bonneville‘s Cole Lueders showcased his skills by completing 24 of 42 passes for 326 yards and three touchdowns, leading Bonneville to a 32-29 victory over Woods Cross.

East witnessed a dazzling performance from Nasio Otukolo, who carried the ball 21 times for 202 yards and scored four touchdowns, driving his team to a commanding 55-34 win over Alta.

Orem had Tayden Ka’awa throwing 17 of 24 passes for 335 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for a score, securing an easy 56-17 victory over West Jordan.

Brighton earned attention with Mason Haertel, who rushed for 265 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries in a dominant 35-0 homecoming win over Highland.

Fans at Spanish Fork enjoyed watching McKay Smith complete 13 of 21 passes for 288 yards and five touchdowns in their 56-26 region-opening victory over Uintah.

Mountain View had a multi-talented player in Kalvin Floyd, who contributed significantly in their 41-19 win over Payson. Floyd caught four passes for 128 yards and a 95-yard touchdown reception, while also recording two interceptions and handling the kicking duties.

In a closely contested game, Dixie‘s Ran Sawyer powered through the Hurricane defense, rushing for 300 yards and scoring five touchdowns in a thrilling 41-35 win.

The Murray Spartans had a standout performance from Sam Pehrson, who rushed for 219 yards on 26 carries, leading his team to a decisive 42-7 victory over Jordan.

Manti saw Stone Mortensen catching nine passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns, guiding the Templars to a strong 45-7 victory over Emery.

In addition, Carbon‘s Anthony Wilson led his team with 167 rushing yards on 24 carries and a touchdown in a comfortable 34-7 win over Union.

Richfield extended its winning streak with Griffin Wayman completing 17 of 20 passes for 335 yards and two touchdowns, bringing a 47-14 victory against Delta.

ALA had a true nail-biter as Nicolas Marble led his team to a tight 42-41 victory over Grand, completing 21 of 29 passes for 426 yards and four touchdowns.

Judge Memorial shone brightly with Texas Wilde, who rushed for 149 yards and scored four touchdowns, leading his team to a big 55-6 victory over Gunnison Valley.

San Juan also made headlines with Jaiten Knight, who completed 15 of 18 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns, along with 58 rushing yards, in their easy 48-6 victory over Summit Academy.

Milford relied on Sadler Barnes, who caught five passes for 112 yards and two touchdowns while also making defensive contributions in a 6-0 win over Providence Hall.

Lastly, Kanab celebrated a 42-14 win over Millard with Hayden Gubler scoring three touchdowns on 87 yards from 10 carries, securing their spot at 3-1 for the season.
