Springfield, Illinois – High school football fans are in for a treat this weekend as several exciting games are set to take place across the region.
On Friday night, Chatham Glenwood will face Normal U-High at 7 p.m. in what promises to be a thrilling matchup. Meanwhile, Decatur Eisenhower heads to Rochester, also at 7 p.m., looking to secure a win. Fans in Lincoln can catch Decatur MacArthur taking on Lincoln at the same time. Jacksonville will host Springfield High at Memorial Stadium, starting at 7 p.m., which is expected to draw a large crowd.
In other games, Lanphier travels to Quincy Notre Dame at 7 p.m. and Auburn will visit Petersburg PORTA. Other notable games include Maroa-Forsyth facing Pittsfield, and New Berlin taking on Stanford Olympia, both scheduled for the same time. Pleasant Plains has declared a forfeit against Riverton. Additional matchups feature Greenville at Vandalia, Hillsboro at Pana, North Mac at Carlinville, and Piasa Southwestern at Staunton, each kicking off at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, the action continues with Sacred Heart-Griffin clashing with Southeast at Memorial Stadium starting at 1 p.m. Later that evening, Gillespie will take on Litchfield at 7 p.m.
In other Saturday contests, Pawnee will visit Oblong at 7:30 p.m., while Edwardsville Metro-East Lutheran hits the road to face Kincaid South Fork, also at 7 p.m.
