This past weekend, high school football action brought some thrilling finishes across various schools in the area. In Menasha, the Tritons experienced a nail-biter against the Notre Dame teams. With only 12.9 seconds left on the clock, Max Pierce threw a 34-yard touchdown pass to Charlie Hornacek to clinch the game with a score of 28-21. Menasha made a strong comeback, overcoming a 21-7 deficit in the final quarter. Elijah Gigl played a crucial role for Menasha, scoring a 3-yard touchdown run, while Logan Liegl connected with Jaydon Lanser for a 28-yard touchdown pass as well. Christian Collins shone for Notre Dame, rushing for 218 yards on 30 carries.

Meanwhile, Pulaski showcased a dominant performance over Ashwaubenon, winning 42-14. Spencer Hakes led the Red Raiders with 123 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Brock Weideman contributed by carrying the ball for 106 yards. Pulaski’s Bohdan Schmidt threw for 87 yards and two touchdowns. For Ashwaubenon, quarterback Malcolm MacGrath tossed two touchdown passes to Jadien Laboy.

In Suamico, the Bay Port Pirates cruised to a convincing 49-10 victory over Green Bay Southwest. Brady Moon stood out with four touchdown runs in the first half alone, helping Bay Port build a substantial lead. With 290 total yards of offense, they overwhelmed the Trojans.

West made a remarkable comeback against Preble, finishing with a 42-35 score. Conner Navis played hero with five touchdown passes and executed a two-point conversion with just under a minute left to secure the win.

In a close game between Seymour and FVL, Lucas Papendorf’s last-minute 21-yard touchdown pass led the Foxes to a dramatic 25-24 victory, marking Seymour’s first loss of the season. Freedom continued their strong season, defeating Denmark with a score of 35-7 as Aaron Hambel and Drew Kortz both made significant contributions.

Lastly, Crivitz beat Shiocton 20-8 thanks to a strong performance by Brody MacNeil, who rushed for 185 yards on 37 carries. Overall, it was an exciting week in high school football filled with impressive individual and team performances.
