Meanwhile, the Danbury team had an impressive outing, defeating Bridgeport Central 6-0. Ava Thatcher scored twice, while the team showcased a strong defense, allowing no goals against.
Finally, the girls’ side was just as exciting with Mercy trouncing West Haven 8-2 led by Molly Benson’s hat-trick. These results highlight the significant talent and competitive spirit throughout the high school soccer leagues.
