Meanwhile, the cross-country highlights were notable at Highland National Golf Course where the boys’ Class 3A Section 4 saw Stillwater come out on top, earning a spot in the state meet with a strong score of 30. Key individual performances included Dylan Rinkier, clocking in at 15:55.7, firmly placing him among the leaders.
The Two Rivers team also asserted their presence by taking 47 points, showcasing outstanding runners like Lucas Esten, who finished with a time of 16:15.6. White Bear Lake impressed with individual qualifiers, proving their depth and skill across the board.
In the girls’ cross-country, White Bear Lake also shone brightly, securing their spot in the state meet with a team score of 58. Their top finisher, Logan Bailey, completed the course in 18:43.1. Shifting to soccer, excitement filled the stands as the Mpls. Washburn boys’ team dominated Bemidji, winning 3-0 in the Class 3A state tournament quarterfinals. Over in girls’ soccer, the Edina team had a commanding performance, crushing Duluth East with a decisive 5-0 win.
