FORT MILL, S.C. – A nerve-wracking car chase took place in the town, reaching speeds of up to 100 miles per hour and concluding in an alarming crash, as per authorities.
The pursuit involving the local law enforcement, initiated in Charlotte and culminated at Highway 160 at I-77 North in Fort Mill. The authorities disclosed that the four individuals involved had been taken into custody post the pursuit. The detainees were identified as 19-year-olds Jabriel Blakeney, McKinley Hunt, and Richard Petty, along with a 17-year-old juvenile.
As reported by officials, all four individuals were already wanted by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, their rapport further tarnished due to their alleged association with a recent shooting incident in North Carolina.
Preliminary charges against the detainees include Criminal Conspiracy and Possession of a stolen vehicle. Moreover, Richard Petty, who, according to the authorities, was navigating the vehicle during the chase has had additional charges brought against him, namely two counts of failure to stop for a school bus and failure to stop for blue light.
