Introducing the hottest addition to Charlotte’s ever-expanding culinary landscape – the Honeysuckle Gelato Bowl now at Ballantyne. The Bowl at Ballantyne, a hub of exciting culinary experiences, launches a new gastronomic spot each month to delight the food aficionados in the city. Honeysuckle Gelato is the latest intriguing reveal that has already won the hearts of many, less than a month after its opening.
Our visit to Honeysuckle Gelato Bowl was nothing short of delightful. Nestled right across North Italia, this charmingly small spot was brimming with excited customers, showing off the popularity the ice-cream hub has garnered in such a short time. Despite a slight wait under the pleasant weather, the sight of homemade waffle cones being crafted right behind the counter was a reassuring cue to the quality of the ice cream.
Choosing a gelato flavor from the diverse and enticing menu was quite the task. However, the Banana Pudding flavor stood out, and rightly so – it was an outstanding choice. Customers can choose between cups and cones, differing number of scoops, and even ice cream sandwiches made with the available cookies. A single scoop in a cup, priced at $4.95, was enough to satiate our ice cream cravings. Enjoying the gelato under a cool evening breeze at one of the outdoor seats was a fulfilling experience. Believe it when we say, the Banana Pudding Gelato was a nostalgic throwback to grandma’s classic recipe – simply spectacular, to say the least.
The Bowl at Ballantyne has stealthily claimed the title of a favorite spot with its strategic location at Johnston Rd. near I-485. The recently opened Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, along with other go-to spots like North Italia, Flower Child, and Postino wine bar, collectively make it a culinary paradise. Its upcoming establishments such as Bossy Beulah’s, Harriet’s Hamburgers, and Hawkers only raise expectations for this novel location.
Charlotte’s culinary aficionados now have another reason to gush over the city’s gastronomic wonders. Tantalizing the taste buds of locals and visitors alike, Honeysuckle Gelato Bowl at Ballantyne promises a thrilling gastronomic journey with its diverse gelato flavors. With the summer season on the horizon, it’s a perfect stopover for that indulgent ice-cream date. As for us, we can’t wait for our next visit to try more flavors and cookies!
