Glencairn Garden has long been a favorite destination for residents and visitors due to its nicely planted lawns and walkways. What began as David and Hazel Bigger’s private garden in 1928 has grown into an 11-acre oasis in the middle of Rock Hill. The Garden has a wide range of blossoms throughout the year, although the peak flowering season is usually late March/early April.
Azaleas, dogwoods, wisteria, camellias, and hardwood trees are just a few of the delights visitors will find while strolling the grounds. The Garden was the idea for the annual Come-See-Me Festival in Rock Hill, which has grown into a 10-day celebration hosted each spring at Glencairn Garden and other Rock Hill locations. There is no charge for public admission to the garden; however, some special events may charge a fee.
For commercial or political objectives, video or photography in the park requires specific permission.
