Meadowdale Volleyball Triumphs Over Shorecrest

In a well-fought match on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, the Meadowdale volleyball team secured a 3-0 victory against Shorecrest. This win boosts Meadowdale’s overall record to 4-9 and their league standing to 2-7. The match showcased impressive individual performances, particularly from Violet DuBois, who led the team with 10 kills and 3 aces. Also contributing significantly were Jackie Tang with 9 kills and 2 aces, along with Andrea Rios, who recorded 13 digs and 3 aces.

On the other side of the court, Shorecrest’s record now stands at 2-11 overall and 2-6 in the league. Despite the loss, the team continues to show commitment and effort on the court.

Meadowdale’s next challenge will be against Archbishop Murphy this Wednesday, October 23, at 7 p.m. at Meadowdale High School. This upcoming match promises to be an exciting one, as Archbishop Murphy comes in with a strong record of 10-0 in the league and 13-1 overall. Just yesterday, they convincingly defeated Mountlake Terrace with scores of 25-18, 25-18, and 25-19, showcasing their strength on the court.

Looking at Mountlake Terrace, they currently hold a league record of 1-7 and an overall record of 4-9. In the recent match against Archbishop Murphy, Sarah Simula stood out with 6 kills, while Emmy Alley and Hailey Kahklen contributed with 6 assists and 4 assists, respectively.

Mountlake Terrace will play their next match against Edmonds-Woodway on Wednesday, October 23, at 7 p.m. at Mountlake Terrace High School, looking to improve their standing in the league.
