Minneapolis High School Football Recap
Last night, Minneapolis saw an exciting wave of high school football action as teams across the metro area faced off in thrilling games. The atmosphere was electric at stadiums, where fans cheered for their favorite teams.
In Class 5A, New Prague pulled off a close victory against Rochester Century with a score of 14-7. The game was tightly contested, with both teams showing strong defensive stands throughout. Chaska and Waconia played an intense overtime battle, with Chaska coming out on top 13-12. The win was a welcomed relief for Chaska after a challenging season.
Over in Section 3, Apple Valley dominated its contest against Bloomington Kennedy with a strong 35-0 victory. In another convincing win, Hastings shut out Bloomington Jefferson 35-0 as well. These two impressive performances have boosted the morale of Apple Valley and Hastings as they head into the final weeks of the season.
In the 4A section, Willmar made a mark with a comfortable win over New Ulm, finishing the game with a score of 28-6. The team’s offense was efficient, and their defense limited New Ulm’s scoring opportunities.
Moving down to Class 3A, Lake City showed resilience with a 35-13 win against La Crescent-Hokah. The Lake City team maintained control and will be looking to capitalize on this momentum for the next matchup.
The night also featured a high-scoring game where DeLaSalle narrowly edged out SPA/MA/Blake, winning 33-32. This contest was a nail-biter, and it showcased both teams’ talent and determination.
