The authorities identified the body as Stanley Thomas Kotowski, Jr., a 60-year old from Methuen, Massachusetts.
On August 16th, Kotowski was reported missing while vacationing on Hilton Head Island. Stanley’s location remained unknown until his body was found in a crawlspace under a local home. Upon discovery, the Beaufort County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Kotowski had died by suicide.
