Montana High School Football: Intense Games and Standout Performances This Week

This week in Montana high school football was filled with intense games and impressive performances as teams battled it out on the field.

The Laurel Locos showcased a dominant performance by completely shutting out Lewistown and keeping them out of the end zone. Their junior quarterback shined, scoring three touchdowns and leading his team to a convincing win.

Meanwhile, in a thrilling overtime matchup, the Butte Central Maroons pulled off a stunning victory over Hamilton. Senior running back Justus McGee described the win as “pay day,” celebrating with his teammates after the hard-fought battle.

In another exciting game, Grant Vigen, who has already committed to Montana State, demonstrated his talents and leadership as he led the third-ranked Bozeman Gallatin Raptors past Missoula Sentinel. His skills were on full display, and the Raptors showed they are a force to be reckoned with this season.

The Frenchtown Broncs displayed their defensive prowess, shutting out the Corvallis Blue Devils at home on Friday night. The Broncs made a crucial last-minute stop at the goal line to secure their victory and keep Corvallis from scoring.

In a notable achievement, the Belgrade football team celebrated their win, marking just their fourth victory since moving up to Class AA in 2019. While this year’s team is different from the state title winners of last season, they have shown promising signs just two weeks into the new season.

Lastly, the Valley Christian Eagles produced an explosive fourth quarter, scoring 28 points to rally back and secure a win against the Arlee Warriors. They overcame an eight-point deficit, proving their resilience and determination on the field.

As the weeks progress, Montana high school football continues to excite fans with thrilling plays and standout athletes ready to make their mark this season.
