Mountlake Terrace Hawks Dominate Everett Seagulls, 34-0

In Mountlake Terrace on Sunday, October 20, the Mountlake Terrace Hawks showcased an impressive performance against the Everett Seagulls, securing a convincing 34-0 victory. The Hawks amassed a staggering total of 514 yards of offense, with 398 yards coming from the ground game alone.

Quarterback Mason Wilson navigated the field effectively, completing 6 of 8 passes for 118 yards and throwing one touchdown. His presence was complemented by a powerful rushing attack led by Owen Boswell, who carried the ball 15 times for 142 yards and a score. The dynamic duo of Nate Brown and Cody Ekanayake also made significant contributions, with Brown rushing for 40 yards and two touchdowns and Ekanayake adding 85 yards on six attempts.

On the receiving end, Andrew McBride made a notable catch for a 49-yard touchdown, highlighting the Hawks’ balanced offensive strategy. The kicking game also held strong with Liam Moore converting all four extra points.

The Hawks’ defense couldn’t be overlooked; they locked down the Seagulls, allowing just a handful of first downs throughout the game. Notable defensive efforts came from Liam Moore, with nine tackles, Cody Ekanayake, who intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble, and Jacob Gomez, who also secured an interception and returned it 22 yards.

This win clinched the No. 2 seed in the Wesco 3A South Division for Mountlake Terrace, securing a spot in the state playoffs beginning on November 8 or 9. They will complete their regular season with a matchup against Edmonds-Woodway on Friday, October 25.

Meadowdale Shuts Out Lynnwood, 48-0

In other action, the Meadowdale Mavericks demonstrated their might against the Lynnwood Royals, winning decisively with a final score of 48-0. The Mavericks were in complete control, allowing Lynnwood just three first downs.

Brian Mills stood out on offense, rushing for 190 yards and three touchdowns on just nine carries. Quarterback Ki Gamble also shined, throwing touchdown passes to Jack Baker, Andre Titus, and Nolan Swanson.

Shorewood Stormrays Beat Edmonds-Woodway, 31-13

The Shorewood Stormrays improved to 5-2 following their 31-13 victory over the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors. Despite two touchdowns from Warriors’ player Nathan Schlack, the Stormrays’ powerful rushing game, led by Gatsby Palmer with three touchdowns, proved too much to handle.

As the season progresses, all teams prepare for their next matches on October 25. Mountlake Terrace will look to extend their winning streak against Edmonds-Woodway, while Meadowdale faces Monroe, and Lynnwood battles Annie Wright.
