With the game tied at 13-13 after regulation time, both teams were eager to grab the win in this Wesco 3A South clash.
Shorecrest started off overtime with possession, managing to score a field goal to take a brief lead at 16-13. However, the Hawks quickly regrouped, responding with a game-winning touchdown to secure their victory. With this win, Mountlake Terrace improved their league record to 2-0 and overall to 3-1, while Shorecrest now holds a record of 1-1 in league and 3-1 overall.
Mountlake Terrace’s quarterback, Mason Wilson, completed 8 of 19 passes for 97 yards and added 60 rushing yards along with a touchdown. Owen Boswell was a key player on the ground, carrying the ball 17 times for 81 yards and scoring a touchdown as well. In receiving, Nate Brown led with five catches for 60 yards.
