The atmosphere was alive at Stellos Stadium as the Bishop Guertin High School football team started strong with an early lead against Alvirne High School but ultimately faced a disappointing setback.

On Saturday evening, Bishop Guertin took an early 6-0 lead, wowing a small but excited crowd, but soon the *momentum slipped away,* and they couldn’t recover. Although they showed promise, the rain seemed to wash away their chances for victory.

Meanwhile, the Cardinal’s girls’ soccer team stepped onto the field just later that day and proved their strength by blanking the rebuilding Alvirne team 7-0. The steady rain didn’t slow them down, and they demonstrated skill and determination, leading 2-0 at halftime.

On Friday night, Nashua South also made headlines as their quarterback, Cody Jackson, showcased his talent with a remarkable 61-yard touchdown run, helping his team secure a 36-13 win. The Panthers were energized and performed strongly, signaling their potential this season.
