Indian Land is set to receive a fresh array of dining options as Nana Morrison’s Soul Food has signed a deal to open a new restaurant in the RedStone shopping center. The establishment will be located at 9725 Redstone Drive and is slated to open early next year.
Nana Morrison’s Soul Food, a restaurant that has garnered a following since its inception in 2011, will bring its popular cuisine to the town. With existing locations in Charlotte and Florida, the restaurant is well-known for its comforting and flavorful soul food offerings.
The menu promises a variety of options, including fried fish, pork chops, and chicken. Diners will also find an array of baked, barbecue, and curry dishes. Additionally, the eight or more sides include traditional staples such as blackeyed peas, mac and cheese, stuffing, collard greens, and potato salad. For dessert, patrons can indulge in sweet treats like banana pudding, sweet potato pie, and peach cobbler, along with a selection of cakes.
Nana Morrison’s will share the space with another exciting addition, Taipei Express, a Chinese restaurant. Taipei Express is also expanding from its existing location on Providence Road in Charlotte. This restaurant will offer a diverse menu featuring dishes such as beef lo mein, steamed scallops, and spiced pork.
Both Nana Morrison’s and Taipei Express occupy about half of the 9,500-square-foot building within the RedStone shopping center. The complex acts as a bridge between its successful first phase, which includes the RedStone 14 movie theater and several dining choices like The Office, Portofino’s, Aroma Indian Grill & Bar, and The Greek Grill, and an anticipated second phase set to begin in 2026.
The upcoming phase will expand the retail space by almost 23,000 square feet, add 360 apartments, and include an event lawn. This expansion is expected to enhance the appeal of the RedStone shopping area, striving to be a comprehensive hub for both dining and entertainment.
The addition of Nana Morrison’s Soul Food and Taipei Express marks an exciting development for Indian Land residents, who will benefit from more restaurant choices close to home. Those looking to enjoy a movie along with a delicious meal will now have even more options to consider.
