His teammate, Drew Fortescue, the third-round pick from 2023, also made an impact, blocking two shots and playing solid defense.
The two teams faced off again on Saturday, where Perreault scored his first goal of the season. Meanwhile, Western Michigan celebrated the first collegiate goals of four freshmen during their 4-1 win against Ferris State. Ty Henricks, a sixth-round pick for the Rangers, contributed with an even-strength goal and an assist over the weekend, as he worked hard in his first games.
