Omaha Marian Volleyball Shines at Lincoln Northeast Invite, Clinches Championship with Convincing Victory

Omaha, NE – The Omaha Marian volleyball team put on an impressive performance over the weekend, winning the Lincoln Northeast invite while showcasing their skills on the court. The Crusaders, ranked No. 9 in Class A, faced off against the Class B No. 6 Waverly in the championship match and secured a convincing victory, sweeping the Vikings in two sets, 25-15 and 25-21.

In the first set, Omaha Marian established control early on, taking a sizeable lead of 19-12 at one point. However, the second set proved to be more challenging. Waverly came out strong, jumping to a quick 7-2 lead, which prompted an early timeout from the Crusaders. Following the timeout, Omaha Marian regained their composure and pulled ahead, managing to take a 19-18 lead and ultimately winning the set and clinching the match.

Also competing in the tournament, Class A No. 10 Lincoln North Star struggled throughout the day, losing both of their matches.
